Comparison of permanent scaffolding anchors

The topics of DIN 4426 and permanent scaffolding anchors are the subject of controversial debate. The construction industry complains that there are currently no practical, approved products/systems on the market that meet the requirements for anchoring scaffolding to façades. Over the years, more and more new anchor solutions have appeared on the market. However, many of these products turn out to be “bridging technology” or purely temporary solutions that are not suitable for permanent use as defined by DIN 4426. Approved products, not to mention “real” systems, are still in short supply. Nevertheless, many manufacturers advertise DIN conformity on the basis of static verifications that are based purely on material calculations of individual components. However, an absolutely DIN-compliant product must always be considered and evaluated with all components and including masonry installation. We would therefore like to provide architects, planners, façade and scaffolding builders and building owners with a brief overview of the performance of the products on offer. We are concentrating on “real” permanent scaffolding anchors, as only these have any real relevance:

Conclusion

Only the isorocket® permanent scaffolding anchor is a fully developed and practical complete system for the full implementation of the requirements of DIN 4426. This is documented in particular by the approval for masonry and concrete. In addition, the anchoring system with the rocketrail extension creates the ideal conditions to ensure that a key aspect of the DIN standard – the reuse of permanent anchors at any time – can be easily implemented in the daily construction process. No other product on the market currently achieves this.

Remark

This product comparison has been compiled to the best of our knowledge and belief and through painstaking research. To make matters worse, access to specific information on many competing products is very difficult. However, in our opinion, this underlines all the more the necessity of this overview. We believe it is particularly important that all trades involved in construction who “have to” deal with this topic can get a quick overview and receive the simplest possible support in their decision-making process.
