The only anchoring system with approval for masonry and concrete
While the topic of permanent anchors was still completely new territory when the product was launched and first presented at trade fairs a good three years ago, Managing Director Franz Wessendorf has now noticed a significant increase in interest. “Although the revision of DIN 4426 regarding the use of permanent anchors took place in 2013 and was binding, the market is only now starting to move. The topic has arrived in the industry,” explained Franz Wessendorf. The long “dry spell” was triggered by several factors and is closely linked to information deficits and unclear responsibilities of the trades involved, among other things. However, the main “braking factor” was the fact that there were basically no approved anchoring systems available. Instead, new “bridge solutions” kept appearing in the form of temporary anchoring constructions that did not comply with the requirements of DIN 4426. This has changed since the beginning of 2019, when isorocket® became the only anchoring system with building authority approval for masonry and concrete on the market. “The topic of approval was the key message of our trade fair presentation,” explained Oliver Ahrens from the rocket team. “Many visitors were still unaware that approved systems exist on the market and were therefore very interested,” continued Ahrens.
The world’s first: any reusability of permanent anchors with the rocketrail system
A very special highlight awaited visitors to the isorocket® stand – an absolute world first: the rocketrail system. The background to this product development is a key requirement of DIN 4426: the ability to reuse permanent anchors at will. The scaffolding industry in particular has criticized the fact that once the anchor points have been set, it is almost impossible to reuse them in the event of renovation or revitalization. The whole principle of permanent anchors would therefore be questionable and not thought through to the end if new anchor points had to be created again when refitting. This is precisely where the rocketrail system comes in, which works like an adapter for the isorocket® permanent scaffolding anchors. “With the rocketrail, the individual anchor point ultimately becomes a system. This means that any scaffolding can be anchored securely and in accordance with DIN, regardless of the grid dimensions,” says Franz Wessendorf, describing the innovative product. “Even if the re-occupancy case and thus the use of the rocketrail will only become necessary a few years after the façade has been built, it was important for many trade visitors to know that isorocket® already has a perfect solution ready here,” added Oliver Ahrens.
The rocket team was highly satisfied with the course of the trade fair due to the high number of visitors and strong interest. The central themes of approval and reusability had an impact and made a lasting contribution to “anchoring” isorocket® as the best scaffolding anchor of all time in the minds of trade fair visitors.
