Calculation of anchor quantities

The anchoring density when erecting scaffolding essentially depends on the wind load zone in which the building is located, whether it is to be installed as open scaffolding or covered with a scaffolding protection net or even a scaffolding protection sheet. Against this background, the anchoring density can vary greatly in order to ensure the stability of the scaffolding in accordance with the required load-bearing capacity.

If you do not wish to use our anchor plan calculation tool, but would like to get an approximate idea of how many anchors you should tender or plan for, we would like to provide you with the following information.

We are generally talking about a range between 5-25m2 of façade area per anchor point, which could even be “stretched” a little further with our isorocket® permanent scaffolding anchor, as we can demonstrate significantly higher force absorption compared to the competition. However, we always recommend staying within the range described in order to keep subsequent reuse standardized and as simple as possible.

If, as an architect or planner, you wish to specify a basic number of anchor points for a tender, we believe that you should assume a façade area of 15m2 per anchor point for “normal façade scaffolding”, which can also be covered with partial areas of scaffolding nets. Façade area: 15m2 = number of anchors to be tendered). However, you should always assume that the scaffolder may want to install a few more anchor points afterwards.
